Gears of War 4 came together beautifully despite having a fresh development and starting from the end of a previous well tied together trilogy is never easy. Gears 4 brought a new cast of characters that were likable along with some old favorites while still retaining key elements that made the first three stories so great. The multiplayer was also a perfect execution of the competitive play that gamers have come to expect from the series while also keeping some fun elements as well. There's also a fully improved Horde mode and the game itself is beautiful being a technical feat on its console. This is definitely the best game of the year that provides many excellent aspects of gameplay.
