Top 10 Free to Play Games

As a early tradition I will go over my most anticipated games of this upcoming year, basically the games I am most looking forward to playing in 2014. I didn't bother adding any Wii U titles as I don't have faith in any of Nintendo's release dates as they keep delaying everything. So enjoy this brief look into the future of announcements thus far into the year. Oh and Elder Scrolls will also not be on here as I don't support their payment scheme, sorry. On final note I also excluded The Division since after some recent comments and lack of display I am unsure that it will come out this year, though I can't wait to play it whenever it does! If I missed your most anticipated comment at the bottom...

Ghost Recon Online

#10: Ghost Recon Online

Ghost Recon has a free to play game that is somewhat a slimmed version of their latest iterations, it's actually a fairly neat game with some basic play that is derived from the series. It of course is designed to run easily, it provides a quick, tactical and free try of the series. Though hopefully those servers will keep the minimal people it has within them.

Gotham City Impostors

#9: Gotham City Impostors

This is one of the most wild shooters I've ever played, mixing up teams of people that dress like the Joker or those that dress as the Batman they combat in a bloody battle. Even the weapons in the game are as wild as the entire premise of this purely online shooter. Turning free to play on PC gives everyone a chance to play this awesome game, though will mention it is also available via consoles for a price.

Loadout

#8: Loadout

It really isn't anything too special, being your run of the mill third person shooter. Though Loadout has other aspects that make it stand out and make it something you will want to indulge at least some time into. That includes the rather gory gameplay, unlimited customizing and wacky gameplay.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

#7: Star Wars: The Old Republic

Another one of those massive online games that turned free to play, The Old Republic throws you into a more war torn and desolate time of which you pick your class as you progress across the galaxy. Despite the many complaints about certain free aspects, it still provides a ton of content for free in a universe you most likely love.

Smite

#6: Smite

A game of the gods with a MOBA gameplay that places team against each other in a wild pit attempt at charging with your troops into the enemies base. At a simple standpoint that's the game, but it's a lot of fun and features a wide variety of gods to play as.

League of Legends

#5: League of Legends

I don't honestly play this game at all, but due to the popularity of it online and that my sister sinks countless hours into it. It certainly must be something special, it is a MOBA as well in comparison to Smite and features a range of mystically weird characters to play as with a variety of abilities.

APB Reloaded

#4: APB Reloaded

Pick a side of either the Street Cops or basically the Crime people and just go back n' forth in epic random battles. This second version of APB freatures unlimited customizing options for your characters and interesting PVP match ups throughout a few wild worlds. Though it may lack additional content in terms of environment it really is an interesting, along with hilarious game to spend some time in.

World of Tanks

#3: World of Tanks

Now recently available on Xbox 360 as well as PC the World of Tanks is a great strategy title placing multiple tanks from differing factions on two sides in a wild face-off. It definitely is something different to play and if you love tanks this will be even more amazing for you. Lots of upgrades or little changes to be made as you become the tank you want to be on the battlefield.

Runescape

#2: Runescape

I haven't played Runscape in many years, but I can't really imagine there are too many people out there on the internet that haven't heard of it or played it at some point in time. The amazing online RPG that has been around for a good decade has changed with the times and still carries a massive population within its servers. I'm more than sure Runescape will only continue to grow through the years.

Team Fortress 2

#1: Team Fortress 2

So obviously Team Fortress 2 is the best, you can play it for hours with many classes and just love every moment. From being a spy to soldier or some other class of your choosing the battle is awesome on some of gaming's most classic maps. There's also a newer cooperative mode and of course many updates despite its aging. Also it's got lots of hats!
