Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep Review

"An Amazingly Hilarious Story"

Campaign

So I realise I'm doing this quite late into the game as Tiny Tina's DLC has been out for quite awhile at this point. To be honest I just recently replayed the entire DLC pack with a friend and have done this to get warmed up for the upcoming Borderlands 2 Prequel or Sequel game they have coming out. In this off put pack our heroes are playing a game similar to that of Dungeons and Dragons with Tiny Tina calling the shots. This creates probably the best Borderlands DLC out there as it mixes a well founded story with humour and actually great emotional aspects. Obviously struggling with the loss of Roland as we all are she basically creates his aspect of a glorious knight into the game that pops up as you adventure through this ye olde styled world with dragons, castles and Dark Souls. Yes I included Dark Souls as there are some huge and hilarious references and or side quests throughout the DLC that point towards it. Now the main story itself is actually a great length of time with the world being massive and the climax of the campaign having a great payoff. Everyone shows up as they do in past packs with some great locales and fill ins. Even the princess of which we were after was all but surprising as we reached the end. I think perhaps that the strongest element of this story aside from the many references and great loot was that it presented a story that is different from the main line that actually was emotionally creative and made you see what the aftermath of Borderlands 2 has on the each of our main characters. Oh and enjoy the Claptrap wizard, you shall not pass!

Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep

The Conclusion

If you have Borderlands 2 which you should, this pack among all others is definitely worth it. Hours of more story and side quests that are coupled with loot are well worth it. The story itself is amazing and the best they've done yet. That's all I have to say about this pack for now, I'll see you when Borderlands hits the moon in the next entry!
