Mixer Playstation Could Happen

Mixer (formally Beam) is Microsoft's streaming service which is a direct competitor to Twitch and Youtube Live. The service got a complete makeover moving from the name of Beam to Mixer so that it could become a worldwide product (licensing issues on Beam). It would also seem that the service might be available for Playstation in the future as Phil Spencer is open to the idea. This includes not just Playstation, but other platforms as well which I imagine might include the Nintendo Switch or perhaps even Steam integration. Phil Spencer's tweet to confirm this came simply as a "yep." in reply to someone noting that he had said this in the past.

This is a great idea and makes complete sense if they want to directly compete with Twitch. This is a hard task considering how long Twitch has been around and the community they've developed there. That aside, Mixer is hoping to bridge the gap with their innovations of basically instant streaming, multiple streaming angles in a single livestream and interactive features. The service has already seen heavy integration right into the Xbox One guide and Xbox app on Windows devices. It may have somewhat of a small community at the current moment, but I definitely could see this growing over time.
